“I want your wedding photos to feel as if they are the memories of a close friend who was with you on the most special day of your life, not the images of someone extra employed to be at your wedding. This is the way I work, this is the way I capture photos that will be passed down to your children and grandchildren.” Alex Beckett

Wow, what a year 2019 was. Eleven different countries and over 200,000 photos taken. I’ve been quiet on this blog, mainly because I’ve been shooting, travelling and working on some other exciting photography-related projects. Oh and trying my best to co-parent a 2-year-old! I thought I’d take the opportunity to […]Read More

With a base in London, and a second base in Cambridge, Alex Beckett Photography has photographed at some of the beautiful and historic venues in the UK and beyond.
London offers some of the most iconic wedding backgrounds in the world: St Paul’s Cathedral, Kensington Palace, the Tower of London and the Royal Naval College in Greenwich are some of the world-renowned venues where Alex has photographed ceremonies, always looking to achieve the true essence of the couple’s big day, so that people and their joy are never overwhelmed by the iconic background yet its full grandeur is also captured forever.
Then there are the world-famous hotels, from the Dorchester to the Langham to St Pancras, where legendary service means that your wedding day is one of luxury without a hitch. More modern, quirky venues such as the Oxo Tower offer the chance to take glittering night-time images against the Thames and its skyline. Temple Church is a Royal peculiar church built by the Knights Templar, for anyone with the necessary connection to Inner or Middle Temple and Farm Street Church is a gloriously gothic background Alex loves to photograph. And remember you can always sneak out from your reception to take a fairy tale shot on, for example, the beautifully illuminated Albert Bridge.
Alex enjoys working with all these venues and with wedding planners based in the city.
Hi Mr amazing, Eric and I would like to say/scream/shout the biggest thank you to you for being part of our wedding. WOW is all we can say for the energy and enthusiasm you gave us and genius is all we can say for the creativity. You were a friend with a camera & so much more than a photographer Our day was complete because you were with us. Xxxxx
They are just incredible. I don’t think I can ever be sad again... I’ll just need to look at the pics and voila! - instant smile.
For the record I hate you. You've made my wife want to go for more shoots all around the world, it was such a fun day and the photos were amazing!
OMG your blog of our wedding photos are absolutely amazing!!. They are so beautiful and the whole day already seems like a distant dream almost a fortnight later. Luckily we have your wonderful stunning photos to remind us that it wasn’t !. Seriously, I’ve never seen anything like it for wedding pics. It’s like art…..
Basically, I couldn’t thank you enough for how you made myself and others feel during our big day. Right from the moment you walked into the cottage where my bridesmaids and I were getting ready you put us totally at ease. You made me feel relaxed about the time we had, with the (not so perfect) weather, with relaxing rather than posing (which I’d be terrible at anyway) and with your knowledge of how the day was going to run.
