My photographic year began with colour and smiles: the wedding of Sananda and Sam at Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire, with both a civil service and a Hindu ceremony. I’d photographed Sandi’s sister’s wedding last year, so it was really great for me to have the chance to see Shreya and Nick again, too.
As it happened, Sandi and Sam’s wedding was featured in The Times a few weeks ago. The paper used two of my photos and spoke to Sandi and Sam for the resulting interview, so I won’t repeat too much of what you may already read about and just let the pictures tell the story. I was glad The Times picked up on some of the personal moments. For example, Sam arranged for a string trio to play My Own Home from the film The Jungle Book because Sananda reminds him of Shanti, the girl with whom Mowgli falls hopelessly in love. And also that the tables at the wedding breakfast were named after Tintin books because Sananda reckons Sam resembles their hero.
It was a really fun day packed with beautiful moments. I’ll be quiet now though and let you look at the photos!
More adventures soon,
