The other side of me…

So as some of you might know, as well as working as a photographer I also work in the IT industry as a computer security specialist. Yep that’s right, I like to break things! (Well these days I actually seem to spend more time helping developers make things which can’t be broken so easily but hey, breaking things sounds cooler). The company I work for is one of those big evil American ones and it turns out some of our American brethren wanted to see what we looked like. As such muggins here was drafted in to take a team photo. After a bit of persuasion, I managed to convince everybody that the standard ‘against the wall smiling’ shot wouldn’t suit us and that we should go for something a bit more fun…

Allow me to present a slightly scary version of the UK Security Engineering team…

Apologies for the slightly rough photoshop. More on that and how the photo was created after the jump…

Cambridge University OTC – Formal Wing Photographs

So, Saturday brought with it the yearly wing dinners of Cambridge University Officers Training Corps. I’ve been lucky enough to be asked to photograph various wings every year since the inception of the dinners, and this time I had the (dubious) honour of photographing both the Royal Artillery and the Royal Armored Corps.

The guys are a really fun gang and if anybody out there is presently at university and not part of a UOTC I highly encourage you to check it out. Definitely beats working at Sainsburys to fund your degree!

Anyway, on to the photographs… Both actually presented some fairly major challenges, more after the jump.
