I don’t quite know what to say about these. Sometimes the planets align just right and you get an absolutely amazing photoshoot. This was one of those times.
Steph and Nick flew in from Hong Kong for their engagement shoot. We’d chatted about it a bit in advance and I pitched the idea of taking them to an old abandoned RAF base. I’ve been there a few times before for various photoshoots, but never with a couple. Steph and Nick agreed to my crazy idea and I picked them up off the train on a sunny Sunday afternoon to begin the shoot…

Ah you gotta love Autumn. Headed out the other weekend with Emily and George, who came up from London for their engagement shoot. Had a great time and hit up a load of locations close by. First shoot I’ve done in Bristol since moving and was really great to try out some of the ideas for locations I’ve had. The weather at least half played ball; no rain but no blue sky either. Shame, the leaves were looking awesome and would have been great to have had some sun through them!
Really love this one, a bench I’ve been eying for a while less than 3 minutes walk from the new office. Can’t complain too much about the subjects either, Emily and George make taking great photos easy

Sun, Sun, Sun! Day’s are getting longer, clocks have gone forwards and plants are finally starting to flower. One could almost believe summer is on the way and summer is the one time of year that it’s great to be in England.
Well due to it actually being a nice day Jennie, James, Holly and I decided to head to the picturesque Wandlebury for Jennie and James’ engagement shoot this weekend. Was really nice to get outside and and have some fun in the sun. Props to Holly for being a Human Light Stand for me and to Jennie and James for laughing at my bad jokes.

Well after last weekend I was kinda bummed when I checked the BBC weather to see that it was meant to snow/rain heavily on Saturday. Not another e-session with horrible weather! Well thankfully Aunty got it wrong and in the end who could ask for better weather? Emily and John came down from Letchworth for their engagement shoot and since John is very much into his kayaking we decided to take a walk around the river and then into Cambridge.
Lots of fun was had along with some scones and clotted cream. Enjoy!

Phew long time no blog! It would appear that the more time I spend taking photos the less I blog. Damn and drat, must rectify that! Anyway here’s a few from last weekend’s engagement shoot with Sarah and David. I’m not sure we could have picked a worse day for the shoot as it spent the entire time drizzling. Yuk! Sarah and David were fab though; not being phased by the weather or by being kicked out of the Grand Arcade (apparently taking photographs without flash causes epilepsy – I’ve learned not to argue ) as we wandered around Cambridge’s old streets.
Lots of love going on and can’t wait for their wedding in a couple of months time!

So autumn is coming! As such we decided it would be a great idea to take Jon and Aurelie out for a quick engagement session before their wedding next year. Turns out Saturday really wasn’t the best choice of a day! Overcast and very windy. Oh well, I think we’re going to try again for better weather soon and once the leaves have turned a little more golden. Until then though here’s a sneak peak of some of the photos from Sat.
