Wedding: Joanna and David – Rosteague, Portscatho and St Just in Roseland, Cornwall

I first met Joanna and David in Bristol just after I’d moved from Cambridge. They both popped up to the office for a quick chat, some drinks and to look through photos. They’d been browsing this blog and seen the pics of Rosie and Chris’ relaxed summer wedding when they got married in St Just last year. They wondered if I’d be willing to travel down to Cornwall again and I said “What the hell, why not!”.

I was already prepared for the picturesque beauty of St Just’s, but I hadn’t bargained for the grand, atmospheric gardens at Rosteague. My stalwart assistant Chris Beaumont and I travelled down the day before and decided to take a quick look around Rosteague before it got dark. As we drove through the gates and down the driveway the setting sun beamed through the trees, giving everything a golden shimmer. Chris and I turned to each other and I believe my exact words were “This’ll do then”. After a walk around the manicured grounds and through the grassy meadow down to the sea we headed back to the hotel praying that it would be sunny tomorrow and we’d be able to take full advantage of Rosteague’s beauty.

Wedding: St Just Church and Trelissick Gardens, Truro – Rosie and Chris

Well what can I say? One of the most chilled out, fun, relaxed and loving weddings I’ve been to in a long time. It’s clear to see that both Rosie and Chris are in love, from the tears during rehearsals as it dawned upon them to the truly moving after dinner speeches you really couldn’t ask for more. I’m not entirely sure how she does it but Rosie also has an ability to just lift a room with her smile and she quite literally brought sunshine to the day.

Anyway, enough of all that, on with the photos. Here’s one from outside the water tower at Trelissick, if you want to see more from the day just click on the photo.
