Wedding: Fitzwilliam College Cambridge – Sarah and David
Let the wedding season commence! Saturday kicked off the 2010 wedding season in style for me, a little more than 3 months after Alana and David’s Christmas wedding.
You might remember the couple from their engagement session earlier in the year but this was the big day for Sarah and David. They both met at Fitzwilliam College in Cambridge while studying for their undergrad and as such decided to come back and tie the knot in familiar surroundings.
Hit the link for more about the day and more photos.
The day started in normal British custom with a little drizzle and ominous dark clouds threatening lots of rain. The intrepid couple continued on unphased however and as if by magic, the second they stepped forth from Fitz chapel as a married couple the sun appeared! We really couldn’t have timed it any better, I think somebody must have been looking down and smiled nicely on their big day.
Sarah looked amazing in her gorgeous white dress and David was just as dashing in tails. We managed to grab the formals outside on the lawn just before the heavens opened. We exited stage left to enjoy an awesome banquet put on by the Fitz staff in the main hall.

As the night was winding up Sarah and David set me the almost impossible task of taking a stunning picture of them outside their old rooms in middle C and with only 5 minutes to complete it. I say impossible because how on earth do you make a dark university corridor look appealing? Well you don’t of course, just put the focus on the Bride and Groom and their love together. Far more appealing

More adventures soon,
Alex

Very romantic use of available lighting!
I knew you’d get gorgeous photos for Dave & Sarah
Thanks Claude, means a lot coming from another photographer
