So it’s been a busy year for me with weddings! Well I’ve had a couple of weeks off recently so I thought I’d put together a quick video of the year so far. Enjoy!

So as some of you might know, as well as working as a photographer I also work in the IT industry as a computer security specialist. Yep that’s right, I like to break things! (Well these days I actually seem to spend more time helping developers make things which can’t be broken so easily but hey, breaking things sounds cooler). The company I work for is one of those big evil American ones and it turns out some of our American brethren wanted to see what we looked like. As such muggins here was drafted in to take a team photo. After a bit of persuasion, I managed to convince everybody that the standard ‘against the wall smiling’ shot wouldn’t suit us and that we should go for something a bit more fun…

So life has been a touch hectic of late. More weddings than I can shake a stick at and then everything else in between. As such Holly and I decided to take a quick break and visit her Grandfather in Gibraltar (Holly’s also been working like crazy on the fourth plinth project in Trafalgar Square…). We also decided to take a quick bus trip to Seville (well OK we thought it was going to be quick, turns out it’s 5hrs and as such I rescind my earlier statement). Anyway, since I’d been doing so much photography recently I decided to limit my picture taking and try to relax. I’ve been meaning to get some new photos of Holly though so this promised to be the perfect opportunity…
Yes I took my D3 into the pool. Shot with the D3, and a 24-70mm lens. Light is from an Elinchrom Quadra back left providing the ‘sunlight’ and an overcast day providing the fill. Oh and yes, the water was *a touch chilly*

So I’m going to keep this one brief since I’m a touch snowed under by photos at the moment! Anyway Saturday was the turn of Klair and James to get married. I must say I started the day with some trepidation since James is the first friend whose wedding I’ve photographed. Normally my couples know me as a photographer first and foremost so getting down to taking pictures on the day is no biggie. It’s what I’m there for. With James and Klair however I had to transport myself from friend mode and into Photographer mode for the majority of the day before I could relax and have a drink with them. It was also the first wedding I’ve photographed with Jelena assisting me instead of the usual Holly. It all turned out brilliantly though, the day was perfect, exceedingly relaxed and just joyful. From what I’ve seen of Jelena’s photographs they look super awesome and I can’t wait to see the rest of them. Here’s a few of mine to be going on with though….
